ON CAR MAINTENANCE

Owning a car these days is a necessity that is synonymous to expensive responsibility as it does not end at showing off and you’re done, you have to keep track with its maintenance from timing belt replacement, tires, interiors even up to its water pump replacement and this concerns not just a penny but often can slash your pocket off.

In fact part of my family’s weekly budget is allocated to cars maintenance and gas and this is where strategies to save a penny plays its role, maintaining a good relationship with your repair mechanic is one of the best practices you can adhere to in relation to maintaining your car.

There can be a lot of auto repair shops that is sprouting in your neighborhood but only few can offer you service that commensurate the sum you’re shelling out, Phoenix auto repair shop exist to the promise of reliability, affordability and dependability to make your baby worth its drivability.

HEATING SERVICES YOU CAN RELY

I got a surprise call last night from a long lost friend, she was my colleague back when I was still actively doing productive work, but apparently she too has settled doing reproductive work with an American husband in Missouri.

It’s always a good feeling talking to friends you’ve never heard for a long time, she already has a baby and so sad their baby is sickly and since she’s away from her family and her husband’s family is living at the opposite side of the USA, she has to deal with mothering ordeals alone. I can feel for her, adjusting having a family and to an environment different from home, she mentioned in particular the weather, especially when it’s down below zero, I think even those who are used to it still got depressed at times dealing with this situation, glad there are entities that makes every one’s life a lot easier, she said they have to contract Heating Service Temecula to avert bracing cold.

Well, having a sickly baby in a cold weather, one should think first about making the surroundings appropriate for dwelling. But one thing is sure; she’s getting a hang of it and seems like enjoying the pains and pleasures of being a mom.

So long, thanks for dropping by on this side of town.

DAVAO'S PRIDE

Mount Apo is a large solfataric potentially active stratovolcano on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, at altitude 2,954 metres (9,692 ft). It is the highest mountain in the country and overlooks Davao City-40 km northeast, Digos City-25 km southeast, and Kidapawan City-20 kilometres (12 mi) west. Its name means "master" or "grandfather". Apo is flat-topped, with three peaks, and is capped by a 500-metre-wide (1,600 ft) volcanic crater containing a small crater lake. It is a source of geothermal energy, but the date of its most recent eruption is unknown, and none are verified in historical times.

Mount Apo is one of the most popular climbing destinations in the Philippines, and the summit is easy to reach. The first recorded climb was on October 10, 1880, by a party led by Don Joaquin Rajal.(Wikipedia)

I took during the height of Kadayawan Festival here, a view from the east entrance of SM Davao. As you can see these are cabs queuing.

FINDING MEDICAL SCRUBS

I adore seeing medical pros in their clean and hygienic look; I think this what sets them apart from other professionals, for quite some time we’ve been used to seeing them in their monotonously white uniform. But happy days are here for those who are fashion savvy medical pros, scrubs clothing has taken a new leap, it has joined the bandwagon of integrating style into yet boringly colored clothes yet still serve its purpose.

And if you are in the process of scouting where to buy cheap scrubs, then I have the answer to your questions. Bluesky Scrubs has the widest selection of medical scrubs, from hats, pants to accessories. They even offer free shipment if your order reaches $115, plus other cool discounts. ANTHOLOGY OF BARPINS

PhotobucketI've been thinking hard of what will be my entry for today’s Nostalgia hosted by ever smiling Rose. Stress ako ngayong week, it’s just that I have to give some focus on my part-time career since it’s the first week of class for the second term and I’m on the introductory stage of the subject so the talking was all mine.

Anyway, can’t miss this week’s nostalgia.

I used to collect badges, bar pins, especially those commemorative ones, I had around 200 during the heyday, I even have a canvass on my bedroom wall displaying all my collections, but we often move from one place to another because of my fathers job, and I lost track of those pins anymore. Of all those collections that I have, these are all what is left.

I did not buy any of those pins I collected, each was given or I ask or I found while walking along, each pin has a story to tell.

The violin bar pin was given to me by my mother as a gift; it’s made of 15K gold
The Tweety was given to me by my boyfriend then, now my husband.
The JCI ASPAC, was a commemorative Jaycee bar pin was handed to us when we went to Macau for Asia Pacific Convention
The black one/sword pin was given by an American Soldier friend who was assigned in Iraq during the American invasion + horror stories of surviving the war.
The dove was given by a nun friend
The ones with cross was our official badge when I worked before in a newspaper company.
The GSP pin was my remembrance that once I used to be a member of the GSP.

So there, see you again next week for another round of Nostalgic Marveling at Rose’s Blog.

MAKE A STATEMENT WITH YOUR SHIRT

Primarily, the purpose of clothing is to cover and protect the wearer’s body from harsh environmental elements, but through time it has evolved into unprecedented part of human culture, social function, multi-million industry and more so it’s political significance.

Throughout history, human societies have set various norms about clothing that reflect standards of gender, religion, modesty, and even social status. Other than these purposes, Clothing may also function as a manner of beautification and as an expression of personal style and taste from the most flamboyant, expensive clothing to the simplest funny t-shirts.

Today, clothing has transcended from its humble beginnings to a multi-billion industry. It also has flourished along with rise of new technological innovations. Even inspirational posters that conventionally just hang up on your walls can now be printed on your clothing.

But if you’re bored stiff about clothing stuff, you can just hang around naked watching this site, you can roll Funny or die. Anyway, tata, thanks for dropping by on this side of town.

GREAT DISCOUNTS ONLINE

Frugality I think is one of the most prominent virtues any moms are developing or at least are nurturing. In these trying times, I think not only moms are encouraging this value, everyone who thinks of saving and getting more out of their hard-earned bucks are joining the bandwagon of being miser.

Often we get sarcastic comments from friends, relatives about assimilating such a culture, but I think this is just in the beginning. But mind you, when they learn the value of being stingy, they are far more than what you expected. For miser moms like me, it has already been part of my weekly buying list to get things that comes with free stuff and discounts via coupons.

Well, today is your lucky day, let me introduce to you savings.com, this sites gives you access to thousands of coupons to great stores online, If I’ll get my blogging moolah soon, I might consider scoring a new laptop at a discounted prize by activating HP promo codes. There are also Home Depot coupons if you plan to get your homes new appliances, but the coolest part, one in my wish list is included here, Sony digicam, you can score one at a discounted prize using Sony coupons, and many, many more. All you have to do is activate your patience and in no time, you’ll rake home great stuff that is budget friendly. So check out their site now.

I know there’s this thing they call ‘blogging without obligation’, but I felt like I also have to share some things happening on this side of town, ke ano pa ako nag-blog, LOL..

Anyway, it was the hottest of days, I swear, tagak-tak ang pawis … after an hour on the street, I told my husband to bring home the kids as they might catch fever owing to high temp on the streets… naiwan na ako … yeah, thing was I did not get through the sea of humanity during the street dance showdown …. Haisst … I was thinking like if I were a reporter I wouldn’t make it to the top since I don’t know how to sneak through holes to get the good view … anyway, I managed with my little strength left, but not as good as I expected it to be.... sharing some snapshots of what went on this day at Davao City.

A PIECE OF ART

This wall décor was given to me by a Maranao friend back in College. She was the wackiest-modern Maranao I ever knew; my partner in crime, we really had a good time then. It was her mother that assiduously sewed all these beads together to come-up with this intricately woven glass bead wall panel and handed it to me as a gift.

The ‘okir’ bronze curving was made by his father… This kind of art was actually their means of living… The last information I knew was both of her parents died of old age and she’s already in Brunei.

I actually plan of giving this away, since I own quite a number of these… but I was hesitant thinking that it might not get any interest from bloggers to I let it sleep again in the pouch. So there, remembering someone through this piece of art.

See more rememberings at Nostalgic marveling.

Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump

If you are pregnant and plan to breastfeed your newborn, you should really think about buying an electric breast pump like the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. While breastfeeding is a great way to bond with your child, a high quality breast pump is a must have for any new mom on the go. Breast pumps, like the Ameda Purely Yours allow nursing mothers to express breast milk and store it for later use. This comes in very handy when returning to work, or even if you just need a night away from the house. While there are many different options for breast pumps on the market, the Ameda Purely Yours Breast pump is one of the most affordable pumps with proven results.

One of the biggest advantages of the Ameda Purely Yours is that the breast pump has a closed-system milk collection kit. This means that no outside contaminants will enter the breast milk, or the pump mechanism, which reduces the risk of milk contamination, making the Ameda Purely Yours a safer choice for your baby. The Ameda Purely Yours is capable of being used as an everyday breast pump or as a supplement to everyday breastfeeding, making it a very versatile breast pump.

LOSE WEIGHT THE NATURAL WAY

Today’s life offer the most possible way to get the plumps yet you resist much of having, take these for instance eating yummy foods in front of the television, no time to cook and let somebody do it for you in the yummiest manner possible, sit in front of your laptop and pamper calories. Obviously this isn’t the ideal thing to do if you want to live life more; you need to visit boot camps to have that shape and fitness you wanted.

Gaining weight is easier than losing it, but worry not there are fitness boot camps that offers programs to burn those calories and let you stay on your ideal shape. You can have programs of your choice in all natural way and natural setting. So why not check out fitness boot camps now and see what this program has to offer.

PAPERLESS LIFE INSURANCE

One of the things that I hate most in doing transactions of all sort is going through a lot of paper works, I know it is also a requirement to get into the deals you wanted but at least the fill-in-the blank thing can be reduced if not eliminated

But did you know that there is No Medical Exam Life Insurance available online that unbound you of all these writing stuff? Yes! Gone are the days when you get yourself secure and you have to go through a long process of writing this and that, it saves you time and in effect saves you money. So why not get your life security today at your most convenience and in no time at all.
