I didn’t know life online is as fast-paced as my life offline. I was thinking of giving up this blog, but my OC self said, ‘no, it’s your first blog that taught you how to make friends online and it’s the blog that started all the stress in your life’, so just let it be, who cares about Alexa and PR, just blog and blog and blog, and if think you have nothing to blog, that thought in itself is worth blogging.’

So after that conversation with myself, [oh, don’t take that for something else, I’m still sane and working, lol] I’m keeping this blog, ‘of course you should, it’s the only blog that brings you moolah and comes in free,’ ‘Alright, so it’s settled then.’

COFFEE MOMENTS AT NESTLE COFFEE PLANTLET PLANTATION AND TRAINING CENTER IN TAGUM

HI guys, I’ve been away from my blog dashboard for several days, I’ve been working and planning on this project I long been wanting to do – a coffee farm.

I want to start ours right and I think this place – The Nestle Coffee Plantlet Production and Training Center in Magdum, Tagum, Davao del Norte is the right place to start it with.

Unfortunately, the training for 2011 has ended and the next batch will be come Feb. 2012, but nonetheless we have a great talk with some of the personnel who knew coffee well at the center.

I will be back here to load a thousand of these coffee plantlets for our farm in Sultan Kudarat.

I'm actually planning to document this farming stint of ours so I will be able to share some of the technical know-how of growing coffee plant.

This is the Nestle Coffee Plantlet Production and Training Center in Magdum, Tagum, Davao del Norte.

THE LAST WOMAN STANDING IS GONE

When I did my research for one of my master’s paper in the Province of Sultan Kudarat, Ambay Ampang was one of my respondents, she was thought to be the last Manobo woman who had kept a set of this ‘sigkil’, it’s these iron rings Manobo women adorn their body particularly their necks, their wrist and their ankles, the rings served a number of purpose – one, it’s a sign that a woman belongs to a well-off family in their tribe, second, it’s an accessory signifying beauty, third, it’s an element for their security as those rings would produce a tingling sound whenever someone stronger would try to coerce women in their tribe.

At the course of my stay in the mountains of Ezperanza in Sultan Kudarat, I learned more than what I wanted to know, their anguish towards their government, their unattended health conditions, education, etc. – during that time Ambay was repeatedly telling me she can’t see well, she has one of these eye conditions prevalent among aged women and she wanted to see a healer to have the cataract removed – there were actually a lot of them suffering from same eye problems. Had I been a doctor I could have called a line during that time and selflessly offered my services, those were one of the moments that I was blaming myself that I can’t do much for them with what I have at hand. These people actually don’t ask too much, nor Ambay Ampang asked for blepharoplasty, nothing of that grand, they just want unpretentious attention telling these guys in the government – that hey! We’re part of this government, please mind us too.

Lately, I heard this sad news Ambay Ampang succumbed to meet her creator without even seeing what a doctor looks like, just me thinking that indeed this world still exist at an extreme continuum - extremely advanced and dying without even knowing one.

I attended a friend's son's christening on Sunday. She's a dear colleague when I was still single and was an office slave, lol. Now, she’s back home after two years in Michigan, USA together with his American husband, sadly they'll just be here for two weeks and I'm not sure when they're coming back.

We had a reunion at this hall, almost all of us have kids already and it’s an awesome feeling having to chat and laugh with friends just like the old times.

Yes, if you happen to read this post and have known of someone/manufacturer selling agricultural hydrated lime, please if I may ask a favor to drop your comment here.

I need those for our farm in Sultan Kudarat, because of our tenants constant use of synthetic fertilizer the soil turned acidic and now grows cogon grass lushly. I need to broadcast those lime to stabilize soil acidity, we're saving the soil and the hundreds of coconut trees planted on the area.

Ours is not the only case though even those farm lots next and even farther from us. I'm not doing this to save ours alone but an experimental effort to save the livelihood of the farmers in the boondocks.

So please help me out, thank you so much, any info is very much appreciated.

Now thinking of starting an African Mango diet

Sitting for long hours blogging is really taking a toll on me, I can feel my love handles lumper, my jeans tighter and my weight, I tell yah, not any lighter. I actually started to jog a week ago, but thing was I always forgot to sleep early so often I dream jogging, the new jogging shoe I bought served no use at all.

This jogging weight lose scheme doesn’t work for me, I was thinking the African mango diet might work best instead, it’s famous among those who want to trim down weight at a natural and normal way, it’s convenient to use especially for someone with desk bound job like me. The components of the pill are basically African mango; yes the very mango we’re used to chomp off, it has this super ability to reduce bad cholesterol noticeably, represses your appetite and gut off fat quickly.

Trip to North Crest Davao

Thing with having lotssa blogs some dashboards will take a back seat. Wow, it's been a while, but here I'm back on track glad I still remember my password, lol.

We had a short trip to NorthCrest the other day, it's one of the prime developments here in the city, a friend is thinking of having her wedding reception held at their clubhouse, they're also a lot owner here, gosh how can the soil here be so expensive, well, it's the name and their track record that made it so, it's actually a development of Alsons Properties, this developer is known for their classy and high-end developments in the city, I can tell I worked before as an Advertising Officer for Woodridge and Ladislawa Village at the early stage of its development, two of their prime communities developed.

North Crest lies west of the city, it'll take you about 30 minutes to reach this clubhouse from downtown Davao, passing by Buhangin exchange up to Cabantian Road. It was actually my first time, the clubhouse is spacious and cozy, it has a covered court, tennis court and an infinity pool.

I really had a blast last Friday night, I met these beautiful online friends of mine, in specs is Gagay of Pinoy MD then me, then far right is Kat of A Woman's Note, then Adaah of Single Mother on the go, then Genny of Genny Speaks.

We had it at Buffet Palace at Victoria Plaza here in Davao, we ate all we can .. we talked all we can, lol. Genny and Adaah's comic antics made no bore moments ... Adaah, manga-on tag jacuzzi, hahaha (she forgot the name actually referring to sushi) lol... Genny, lisud ba mag blog? ... lisud (with eyeballs rolling) hahaha...

Gagay as I expected is a charming girl, I hope one day I'll go to her clinic, pa-doctor ko doc... sakit akong ... hahah :)

Kat is leaving soon, waahhh, I will miss a blogging buddy around here. di bale Kat.. magkita jud ta.. kung dili man sa Sweden somewhere on this planet..hahaha .. Have a good life there my friend, wishing you very, very well, all the best!

I just realized that for 11 years that I"ve stayed here I just knew now that I didn't know (again) what's this bloom called, it grows at the border of my uncle-in-law's garden, we just call it the 'tree near uncles' door' every time - geez, how can a human live like this, lol.

COMING OF AGE

Just the dang forgetful me I forgot to take picture of the whole shrub. This after I was so engrossed circling, clicking, wondering how can a delicate yellow flower turned into a sturdy red one. Yes, this shrub has yellow flowers all over, from the looks of it, this is I think the fresh start to coming of age;

Then there were some on the other branches that turned into this;

Some already had a little mature green ball-like stuff and the yellow petals had completely developed into mature, sturdy flower - strong enough to support those seed-like lil balls;

And then at some other branches you can find these; the green seeds had completely turned black, I was looking down at the ground if there were fallen seeds - but this plant grow right beside the covered court of ADDU in Matina here in Davao, so the janitors might have swept them earlier.

Forgive my botanical ignorance, I can't name this plant, you might know what's this plant called, I would really appreciate if you can share it.

Confirmation at San Antonio Parish

Last week, my eldest son was confirmed as an adult member of the Catholic Church, the Confirmation Rights was held at the newly renovated San Antonio de Padua Parish Church in Agdao, Davao City. He had his aunt as his sponsor and we parents were just witness and phototakers at the side.

Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments through which Catholics pass in the process of their religious upbringing. According to Catholic doctrine, in this sacrament they receive the Holy Spirit and become adult members of the Catholic Church. (wikipedia)

It's the second time I attended a Davao Bloggers meet-up, it was on Saturday at the Yellow Hauz, with me of course were equally (para fair) pretty mom bloggers haha. We listened to Dan Delima, a guy who works for Google who is also based in Japan, about the real and future importance of mapping and how we can be a part in completing to map out our neighborhood. I actually love the idea, well, given the direction idiot me, I think I really need to contribute to map out the roads I frequent. It's actually very simple to be a contributor, all you need is your google mail and sign in to google maps and do the thing, it looks simple the way Mr. Delima demonstrated it, but had not actually logged in and did it, but I should!

THE RED 'SWALLOW'

Hi guys, wow it took me quiet a while to update this blog. While I always say I blog without obligation, the other side of me keeps yelling, go update it.

Anyway, yayks, I finally figured it out how to use the ‘selective color’ feature of my cam, this red slippers was my first decent shot.. hahaha, it was some Archimedes moment for me.. lol.

So what's this slippers got to do with nostalgia?

T’was 3 decades back, the story was, I got several ‘plaks’ from my mother using exactly same design slippers - that after I lost my school bag. She was not actually angry about the lost school things, but the thought that I lied after she noticed that I had not been bringing my bag to school, I just said I knew all the lessons and I’ll make it sure to be on the top of the class, somewhat like a genius with a photographic mind, lol … But she doubted, you know mothers really had this extra mast to know whether their children are into something fishy or not. So she went to our school and talked to my teacher and my classmates. So there, the cat was finally out of the bag.

Banta Bata wasn’t even a thought during that time yet, the widely known form of punishment was plunking, glad it wasn’t my grandfather’s slim guava stick hanged at the back of the door or I’ve peed in my pants.

Thinking about that stuff now, wow, I’ve survived my mom.. nyahhaha, but that’s the way it was before – now we’ve evolved to a society where parents are stripped with the authority to execute capital punishment to their children … we leave all the physical stuff to our government, parents are reduced to mere talkers – some effective, some not.

I was waiting for my husband at a resto along CM Recto here in Davao when I spotted this two old folks, this man in his back has been waving 'come' to that woman at the other side of the road, unfortunately even on red light there were still vehicles coming because of the 'go on right' principle - it took her sometime to get across, gladly there was one student who helped her cross the street.

So glad to note this value still exist, but this isn't far from dissappearing ... If that happens .. I think that would be my time..lol.. I hope the city will have infrastructure for old folks devoid of this crossing danger ...

Oyanguren Today!

Had several mom errands this morning - went to several places downtown to do what I'm supposed to do - I was wondering why there was a re-routing - sa dihang! Pot holes are all over Oyanguren Street, I guess it's this water district again that's digging the side roads ... this has been their project lately replacing old water pipes with new and bigger ones - I'd guess - the answer would be 'to serve you best'.

I rode a jeepney - I usually ride jeepneys on errands not too urgent to save gas and save me sanity to finding dang parking space. Since it wasn't the usual jeepeney route, traffic jam was to be expected - I felt like a baked potato inside the jeepney, then out of the blue I heard this firetruck siren - some nosy guys at the sidewalk went shouting - sunog! sunog! all the more the jeepney stood.

So I went out of the jeep and walk away seeing the dark smoke in the sun. Glad sidewalks were shaded, when I finally reached my first destination - computer system was down - people were already lining up waiting to be served manually - finally I was served with rumbly tummy.

Got myself siopao and coke. aahhh! solved!

Can't picture itself

More than the disappointment I was also loaded with lotssa paper to read on my desk last week - gone nuts actually. But, I'm just a human - a material human born to be pleased with things such as this .. I think I regained back my spirit having this toy on my hand. I actually don't know how to exploit this .. I hope I can come up with 'wow' shots in the coming days.

It can't picture itself .. a feature not available on NikonD5100 so I've taken out the lens cap ... I hope this name won't disappoint me... Some say it's good .. I pray so.. I went on bag|shoe|clothes diet just to have this ... hahah.

I'm feelin' a heavy jaw tonight, don't talk to me.. hahaha...Nah, you know this feeling of excitement over some things and it didn't turn out the way you thought it would? Hayyy, such a disappointment really!

The would-be first time owner of dslr and her troop went to the mall this afternoon to supposedly score that dslr I've long been eyeing. But sadly, unfortunately, desolately, inconsolably ... it went out of the shelf three hours before we can hit the counter ..... I almost cried ... there were actually a lot of those models at some other cam stalls but theirs was the cheapest ... the lady at the counter said they're not sure when will the new stocks will arrive ... I hope it won't be long ...Wahhhh, I'm really sad ... anyway, I've stood for some weeks without cam... waiting for another week would be .... I'm going mad!...lol.But seriously, I'm sleeping with a heavy heart tonight... :(

Determining Factor

I was thinking yesterday while we're having our gas stop-over, how can these figures be so powerful that it determines and decides every human activity in practically all society. On this side of town, it's really a pain in the pocket pulling out every time we drove to this station. We used to pumped-in P500 for a half a tank, now it won't even last us two days.

I suspect it'll be worst in a not so distant future, by that time probably cars in gas wouldn't be a trend anymore, wondering then what took these scientists so long to invent solar-powered mass cars, or it's just these giant oil companies that's blocking all these techno so they can have control of people's money. Any thoughts?

I’ve been a lazy blogger lately, well, they say it really happen, probably I had lots of those recently can’t even move a finger – I mean it’s actually my mind that’s a problem.

After suffering from hide allergy attack I went ‘blogbernating’, I stayed away from my keyboard for sometime, I mean for some hours, lol. Davao City is in festive mood again, we're on a month-long good harvest celebration and highlights of this festival is giving honor to the 10 ethnic tribes of this city.

We're packed with so many activities here, your choice of indoor and outdoor fun. this year's festival is handled by Duaw Davao Foundation, a non-profit organization whole sole function is to promote Davao City as a prime destination.

Actually, I forgot its Thursday again today on this side of the world. It’s just that my son is home as he was sent home yesterday for having sore eyes, few of his classmates were sent home days before so it’s no doubt he got it from there. Anyway, after spending some bucks for doctor’s signature and buying all those that’s on the prescription, I just realized I got an empty wallet.

And just as when I’m melancholic over paper-folded-filled-cash-empty wallet, not actually empty as I have plenty of holed five cents left, lol, I overheard this song from my neighbor whom at times I hated because he can’t keep his excitement contained, I’m always bang my early mornings hearing his dang techno beats. Well, that’s how it is living in a free country, how I wish I can buy airspace devoid of sound pollution, anyway, was just glad it was different today or else got no post for today’s nostalgia.

I’m not really sure what’s up with that hyper neighbor of mine, he had this song so early in the morning, can you just imagine greeting the tender world with such a lonely melody, but I swear it has such an inspiring lyrics, but nonetheless, the song surely got me, here sharing ….

I remember I had a blogging friend from Thailand, she used to blog this park in Thailand with all of these Golden Shower Trees in full bloom - I was really stunned by the beauty.....

And then one time on summer, it was accidental, I passed by Lacson St. in Obrero here in Davao - then I saw this tree, at first I wasn't able to bring my camera, but I promised myself to return to get some snaps.

I didn't know its the same golden tree Nice A from Thailand has been blogging about - the lone national tree of Thailand, bloomed beautifully in this road less traveled in Davao ... just beautiful. I hope there would be someone with a wide are to grow this tree... for sure I'll be their frequent visitor every summer.. Splendid beauty!

SURVIVING STANDING

I used to work in a department store shortly after graduation, I was luckier at that time I did not land a job standing my day out in high heels in the selling area, but instead was hired as an advertising and promotions officer, the sad part was that after realizing I need to wander around the whole four story and every department in the selling area, I thought I was the unluckiest - it’s was more tiring than stationed in just one area smiling and standing the whole time.

Another sad part was that you have to tread around in heels, can’t do away with heels during that time, the owner was misogynist, and that after the days over, you can feel your whole flesh numb, tired and worn-out.

But I actually survived with some commercially yet medically approved body add-ons during that time, I always use compression stockings, it really helps reduce swelling, in fact it’s a very good support to lessen if not eliminate varicose veins.

I always have a heart for these ladies standing in the selling area because I know how it is to be standing there in heels, thus, during my time I actually proposed to the management to supply all these ladies with support hose, fortunately the management wasn’t blind and has taken into consideration the plight of their workers, so since then, the ladies got to wear jobst compression stockings and was loving it, besides the fact that it protects their legs from forged cold in the area.

And for those ladies out there who are into this kind of job or anybody who often wear high heels, getting yourself medical stockings really helps.

FIND THE 'KAPRE'

I found this photo in my archives, I remember I took this in a monastery somewhere in Tacunan here in Davao some months back. It's an old, old, huge, huge mango tree that shades the convent, gosh I had goosebumps when we were there. Our guide said there were 'Kapres' in here. It was daylight when I took this photo though, but maybe if you're gifted with the third eye, you might see this puffing fella somewhere in these branches. Dang, sorry about some crazy imaginations, I'm past hours my lunch...hahaha!

"What is a Kapre? (related to the Agta in the Visayan dialect) is a Philippine mythical creature that could be characterized as a tree demon, but with more human characteristics. It is described as being a tall (7 to 9 ft), brown, hairy male with a beard. Kapres are normally described as smoking a big tobacco pipe, whose strong smell would attract human attention. Nothing much happening on this side of town, except that it has been raining every night for the last two days. Last night it rained hard again, but it wasn't just an ordinary rain, it comes with it giants fighting over a piece of something, geezzz.. Sorry about that theory, thing with old folks before they will tell you stories just about anything when thunder and lightning strikes. lol.

Anyway, my air-station mal-functioned after a killer lightning strike last night, I mean I can feel it was close, it was so loud, but I must be luckier it passed by our roof.. waahhh! There weren’t any media ruckus of someone stricken by lightning this morning so maybe it was bolted somewhere in the open sea, hmmmm not sure about the science of lightning… lol.

But the sad part is that I misplaced my wi-fi gadget receipt, I can't exchange the item for a new one as it’s still under warranty. I didn’t know wi-fi gadgets are afraid of thunder and lightning too. …

I recently have hypothesized some things relating to my daughter and nurses.

You know, I often have this dilemma of bringing my daughter to her Pediatrician, she’s always intimidated and hostile towards nurses in white uniforms, I assume she’s upset seeing ladies in white because her first experience with painful needles was with someone in white.

But lately I was trying to figure out why she’s not unfriendly to nurses anymore, I’ve observed she’s more responsive to nurses in Hello Kitty nursing scrubs uniforms, in fact she ask for a pair and Oh, well, the meek mom in me brought her to the mall and bought a pair of Hello Kitty scrubs too.

These are my son’s books and I just finished covering them with cellophane of course for protection so it will last till March.

Me: Son, you should study well, you know you have all these books and you should feel lucky because you see, some kids out there aren’t as lucky, they even can’t buy a decent meal, and had no chance of going to school, and if they can they have to share books with their seatmate.

Son: Oh, mom it’s the same story you told me last year, and the other year, and the year before that year, and it’s the same people telling us they’re doing something about letting these kids go to school and in no time have seats and books on each of these kids desk. I guess you’ve watch TV a lot last night, stop that habit, it drains me…..

HELLO KITTY SCRUBS

I’m a hundred and ninety nine pesos poorer today; I spent it to buy Cherokee scrubs for my daughter, Liea. She has been insisting to buy her a pair because she wanted to look like their aunt in scrub going to work.

I call it proximity influence, we’re surrounded by medical pros around here hence her desire to wore one. You might ask why the kid is so persistent, these Medical scrubs issued by the hospital where their aunt is working actually comes in Hello Kitty and Winnie the Pooh prints, the very reason why she wanted to be a nurse in due time. She hated nurses in whites maybe because her first painful needle experience was administered by ladies in whites. But when asked and approached by ladies in cartoon printed scrubs, she actually doesn’t show any hostile reaction.

Although this is not scientifically proven yet, I would assume that nurses who are into these styles of uniform are less intimidating to children. Resistance comes in less thus patient-nurse relation is very comfortable.

The Hello Kitty scrubs I scored looks so dainty on Liea, the fit was just right, but it’s on the washer right now, I’ll have it modeled once dried and permed.

Right now, I’m one those Pinay moms whose wallet is whacked down to the last cent. Reason – because it’s June again, because my kids are growing so fast and I’m compelled to buy new stuff every June - shoes, uniform, school supplies, bags ... etc, etc…

Geez, I just realized now I never had bought even a single rusty hairpin for myself. Oh, well, I know this is part of living a mom’s life - just unleashing my thoughts over the World Wide Web. But the irony of it all while I’m here anxious sick about this dang money, here comes my husband couching over tons of moolah. Oh, don’t get excited over there, he’s just watching Two for the Money, remember Al Pacino in this 1995 sports betting themed thriller drama?

It was said that the plot of this drama was based on a true story, wow; really money in this betting on sports industry is like a river swelling endlessly. Anyway, I know I have two choices at this time, wait for this month to end and line up the lotto outlets and regret I’ve handed my last dough to the teller. ;)

Yeah right! Other than my one and only biological brother, I have another Brother I love the most, it’s my 3 year-old Brother HL2140.

In our four years together, this guy has not failed me once, in fact, he has been instrumental in making all my life mess easy. During the purchase time, I was supposed to pick that slim bodied-colored one since it comes cheap than this bulky laser one, but hubby told me not to since ink refilling with ink jet printers would come in expensive in the long run and most documents to print are in black and white, ‘you’re not running a printing shop, so opt to have this Brother pack.’

It pays to listen to your husband once in awhile especially in cases like this. Today, its one of the most-trusted and efficient machines we have on the house. The latest versions though are so tempting; it just awed me to note that these new Printers come in so complete, it comes in with fax, copier, scanner, colored laser, just awesome. It brought me to wonder then, will there be printer models in the future with built-in coffeemaker, washer, rice cooker, etc… something like a mom blogger can bring with her anywhere.

INSIDE D’ LEONOR HOTEL INLAND RESORT

We visited our little property in Communal, Cabantian here on Sunday and had a side trip at D’Leonor Hotel and Inland Resort, its just a 5 minute-ride from our place.

I was really stunned to see the extent of the development, because I was thinking it’s just a wave pool and a hotel, but when we get inside, my gosh, the resort practically covered the land as far as your eyes can see. We actually left our ride near the restaurant and rode this shuttle down and up the hill. (it saved us gas, its free anyway).

Right now some of the amenities are still under construction like the wavepool and raging river which will be completed by June, but the cottages are all fully operational and you stay their for P2,800 a night. They ask for an entrance fee of P75/adult and P50 for kids, this includes a free shuttle ride around the resort.

THE AMPATUAN MANSION

Allegedly the mansion that was built by the money of the people of Maguindanao which brought me to wonder what happen to the Ampatuan Massacre case now!

Anyway, we we’re driving out of Brainworks the other day, it’s a charming non-traditional school in the interior of a known subdivision here in the city. You know we’ve been scouting for a perfect option since we’re changing environment for my oldest son.

I’ve seen a lot of footages|pictures of this famous Ampatuan mansion on tv and newspaper, but it was only the other day that I got up close and personal with this famous wall. I did not get out of the front seat, there might be guards that would go ballistic and shell me out ... waahhhh

This mansion occupy practically the whole block, I wonder how many bags of cement and truckloads of sand were used to build just the fence …. Overwhelming! Kayo na bahala diyan baka may masabi pa ako…. Grabeeee!

We had imbao soup last night at EY’s Grill, its small cozy resto along Lacson St. in Obrero this city. My façade photos of the resto were useless, you can’t see a thing, good thing this turned out ok.

Hi guys, been out searching for an alternative school for my Grade 6 this June, we can’t carry out the rocketing tuition fee at ADDU anymore, so we’re doing a realistic move – finding a quality option.

But other than walking under the sunshine, I’m also supervising our little room renovation at the back of my MIL’s house, it’s also a better move, at least to me, to elude from day trolls that sow terror by day, I wonder why I accepted this architect-wannabe task, wish we’re near Chicago, as there is this Chicago remodeling company that would do the job for you, meantime, I think I have to bear with this situation until I’m chock-full and burst.

It was scorching hot when my troop dropped by school this afternoon, unfortunately no ones at the office, then an hour later I had to run fast crossing the street as I’m not armed with umbrella thinking it would be shiny the whole day. I gone home giddy, haisst, this kind of weather really would make pharma companies wealthier. I think John Lloyd’s med suggestion worked this time.

Some bitter melancholia

I almost forgot I had this blog, hahaha!

Nah, another lousy alibi of mine, lol, was a very lazy blogger lately, maybe because I was struck with Bin Laden’s virus, Thanks to Rose I had a very good reason to update.

So it’s high Thursday on this side of the world and its nostalgia time.

I don’t think I’m in the mood to be melancholic right now, I’m actually on heightened alert following the gruesome-live-coverage death (at the Whitehouse of course) of Mindanao’s, I mean the world’s – according to the US- terrorist ‘pareng’ Osama. Whatever the open and close parenthesis meaning of that – I and I’m alone knows..lol.

Anyway, following also some terror threats on this compound where symbolic Bin Ladin is staying, (can I request a squadron of Navy Seals here!) – I’m dying to have a get-away to some place peaceful, some place loose, and some place quiet.

Cheer me up people, some lousy rugrat right here is terribly down to bits.

Anyway, following strict rules of this meme, I’m posting some photos of some of our weekend getaways on this side of town. I think I needed to unwind my rusting soul and scour it to shine with some steel brush and dip it in strong solution to survive a bit more.

UPSET TUMMY & PLUMBING SERVICES

Yeah right! After dizzy days here comes another human uncontainable dilemma. Some guys had a birthday party at the compound last night and I ate a lot of those dang macaroni salad that seemed like good to me.

Everything was normal up until around 11 in the evening when I begun to feel pain in my tummy, you know that kindda pain where you know where to land next. I had countless visits at the comfort bowl, I drained quiet a number of gallons of water and pulled half the wet nursy, thing with ‘flowing throughs’ it made you frail and useless in no time.

I had to rely on the ‘one-hour promise’ of this antimotility drug to calm my upset tummy.

I was trying to self-medicate with salt and water combi to prevent dehydration, but the potion taste like someone’s gonna poison me, it’s terrible!

Anyway, I felt OK now but somewhat flimsy, my husband told me I might have pulled the bowl tank handle hard, the chain went loose and got disconnected from the flabber, so our water meter is running even nobody’s using, so we have to turn off the main valve up until the plumber would be around to fix it.

Wish I’m living in Singapore, plumbing services in Singapore is 24/7, even in the wee hours of the night; pros would come knocking at your door, how efficient!

Anyway, that’s what has been on this side of town, need to gulp more replenishment, lol ;), and thanks guys for dropping by.

My world was practically spinning like a top these past few days, it kills me, the intense spinning sensation I felt on my head was intolerable at one point it let me threw-up like crazy, it pained my throat like hell and at some point there were recurring episodes without any specific reason or cause that I swear I wish I’ll disappear.

I posted this experience at my other blog Woman’s Elan Vital and one of my commentors there Ms. A Chronicles also has same experience before and she suggested I should try the solution that she proved to be effective.

I did not go to the doctor anymore; I consulted YouTube instead, thanks to Ms. A. lol ;).

My research suggested that based on symptoms that I had, I’m suffering from Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), medical journals say the causes were still a mystery (you can google more on this if you're interested), but most common causes may include;

Viral infections,

Nerve inflammation (neuritis),

Complication of ear surgery (more common in older people and women),

Medication side effects, and/or

Rapid head movements.

Sadly, I can’t find my symptoms on the list, I suspect, it’s too much adgitizing, I’m serious mate! That’s why I lessen my stay on the monitors now, or i took longer breaks in between to move around.

Anyway, what Ms A. suggested was to try this Epley Maneuver for dizziness, I tell yah folks it really worked, here’s the positions you can try at home just in case you suffer intense dizziness too.

MY DSL - I'M CONNECTED AGAIN!

Ha-li-lu-ya! It’s fixed!

I’ve been crippled to death these past few days because of this damn intermittent DSL connection on my end – that’s why I made a leave, a two-day blogging leave … hehehe … it’s better that way I think than letting my eyebrows meet.

Finally, Mr. PLDT came to the rescue today, per diagnosis ni manong - the problem was with my dusty 5-year old modem, he said I should let go as it's retiring and replace it with a new one that would cost me a thousand and 200 pesos, geezzz, what can I do, I need to feed my addiction, it’s the only way ;)

So here, finally I’m wired and ready for the world, let’s get hoppin’.
