TO BE HAPPY AND GAY

For those who are following this blog, I have written quite a few articles about my personal musings on homosexual. I wrote once about a student of mine who bravely stood up and admit in front of his classmates that he was gay that made my class stood still for awhile.

I did not accept any teaching load this summer to monitor my children’s summer activities. While I was waiting for my daughter out side of the ballet room at Ateneo de Davao, I saw a very familiar face, holding his manly voice and said … Hi maam, I’m teaching children here how to dance, he continued saying, my family accepted me with no question at all, on a tight condition that I will be finishing school and I will be an obedient son.

I was expecting a negative reaction from his parents of his admittance, but it turned out to be well. I’ve always had great respect for these people in our society, while in general those who choose to have on this sexuality is not very much welcome, I am positive we are putting on higher levels of tolerance in terms of acceptance.

I know this category of people has been trying to fight for gay rights from all over the world, like gay Romania for instance, and I’m making my fingers crossed that somewhere, someday, these elusive privileges enjoyed by heterosexuals will also be enjoyed by our gay friends.

  2. biblically, homosexuality is sinful. but with the increasing number of people of the third sex...they're still the same humans as everybody else. i have so many gay classmates and friends, and they're really smart and kind-hearted---at sobrang sila ang nagbibigay kulay sa klase, sa meeting, sa lakwatsa, haha...nakakatuwa sila. i also have friends na di pa alam ng parents nila ang tungkol sa gender preference nila...kawawa nga eh, kasi sobra silang nahihirapan sa pagtatago.. only a few people get to be accepted by their parents fully, tulad na lang dito sa entry mo. but still, they deserve to be respected whatever the circumstances are
