COLOR OF THE DAY – My Gray-Mood Wednesday

So early in the morning I got pestered by somebody who whether I like it not has to live with, has to co-exist with. Being part of a cultural system that pays back debts of gratitude (utang na loob) until the day you die, it just gives me this grayish mood, a limbo whether to get positive of negative social sanction.

Browsing over my stock photos I stumble on this feline that I think best represent my mood that color my day today. Indeed, my day is a wretched gray Wednesday, but it has to be lived through.

On the other hand, it is said that gray is the color of knowledge, wisdom and intellect. It is perceived as long-lasting, timeless, and often as sleek or cultured. It is a color that is dignified, conservative, and carries authority. Gray is controlled and inconspicuous and is considered a color of conciliation, perhaps because it sits between the extremes of black and white. Gray is a precise neutral, which is why designers prefer to use it as a background color.

Indeed a color of compromise.

  3. It is a beautiful blog. And I want to say that on these gray days, I find myself more creative. I am in my "gray" years now and I am more creative as an artist,an more adventurous, so don't feel bad about having a gray day, almost all colors look beautiful with gray.
